Before getting into the styling tips, there are two important rules to keep in mind for shipping:

• The weight limit: Your bag cannot weigh more than 15 kg.
• The seal: You can fill the bag as much as you want, as long as it can still be securely closed using the integrated plastic adhesive strip.

4 Tips for packing your bag like a pro

1. Fold your clothes:

Presentation matters! Your items are photographed and sold in the exact condition you send them in. If a silk shirt is crumpled at the bottom of the bag, it’s going to look incredibly wrinkled in its listing photo. Give your clothes the best chance to find their new home—and sell on Sellpy for a higher price—by neatly folding them before placing them inside.

2. Protect fragile and sharp items:

To minimize the risk of damage during transport, make sure to wrap fragile items (like porcelain or glassware) and sharp items (like stilettos, kitchen tools, and jewelry). This ensures your delicate items survive the journey to our warehouse and prevents sharp edges from tearing the bag open.

Pro tip: You can place delicate pieces inside a sturdy shoebox within the Sellpy bag, or wrap them securely in recycled paper or bubble wrap.

3. Keep sets and pairs together:

Selling a matching tracksuit, a complete dinnerware set, or a trilogy of books? Buyers love sets! However, you need to make sure our team knows these items belong together.

Use a clear plastic bag, string, or a rubber band to bundle items that share the same size, model, or have a clear logical connection. If for whatever reason, your items are not photographed together, you can put in a change request in the Sellpy app or website and we will fix this right up.

4. Seal It Securely

Once you’ve perfectly packed your vintage finds and home goods, it’s time to send them off. Peel the backing off the adhesive strip and press it down firmly to close the Sellpy bag. Double-check that it is completely sealed to prevent anything from slipping out during transit.
