Decluttering your wardrobe is a great feeling, but selling your unwanted clothes online can quickly turn into a part-time job. Between taking photos, writing descriptions, haggling with buyers, and running to multiple post offices, it is a lot of hassle.

That is where Sellpy comes in. We believe that giving your items a second life should be just as easy as throwing them away. You simply pack a bag, and we take care of the rest—from photography and pricing to shipping and customer service.

1. Pack a Sellpy bag

It all starts with a bag. We accept a wide variety of brands and categories, aiming to sell any item we believe can be sold for at least €5 value.

A single Sellpy bag (70 cm x 90 cm) fits about 30 items of adult clothing and can hold up to 15 kg. Simply pack it full of clothes, shoes, accessories, or even home goods, like books, toys, decor, and more, that you no longer use.

What sells best?

• Items with a higher original retail value (e.g., premium or well-known brands).
• In-season items (e.g., light jackets, sneakers, and sunglasses in the spring).

What should I leave out?

• Fast-fashion or budget basics with obvious wear and tear (e.g., used socks, basic tanks, or items from ultra-fast fashion brands).
• Defective items (anything broken, dirty, pilled, shrunk, or discolored).
• Items we cannot sell for hygiene or legal reasons (used cosmetics, helmets without tags, counterfeit goods).

2. Send it off

Once your bag is packed and securely sealed, it is time to hand it over. Simply drop off your Sellpy bag at your nearest shipping partner location using the pre-paid shipping label included with your order.

3. You relax, and we do the heavy lifting

Once your bag arrives at our warehouse, you can follow the entire process from the comfort of your couch via your Sellpy profile. Here is what our team does for you:

• Sorting & quality check: We assess each item. Items that are not selected for sale are sent to one of our recycling partners, for example, Looper, for textile sorting (unless you request to have them returned to you for a small fee).
• Photography & descriptions: We professionally photograph and write detailed listings for your approved items. Which you can also easily edit yourself, in case we missed anything!
• Pricing: We suggest a starting price based on historical sales data of similar items. You have the chance to review your ads and adjust the prices for free during the first two weeks before they go live!
• Your sale: Your items are listed for sale across 24 European countries.

If an item doesn't sell right away, we gradually lower the price to increase its chances. You don't even have to worry about returns—if a buyer returns your item within 30 days, you keep your share of the sale while we take the risk and try to resell it!

4. Get paid, keep shopping, or donate

Once your items sell and the €1.20 listing fee per published ad, per item, is covered, it is time to collect your share! When it's time to cash out, you have three options:

1. Transfer to your bank account as pure profit.
2. Donate your share to a charity of your choice.
3. Convert to Sellpy Credits. If you want to keep the circular economy spinning and shop for new second-hand favorites, choose Sellpy Credits, and we will give you an extra 5% bonus value to spend on the site!

How much do I earn?

• You receive 40% of the sale price for the portion up to €50.
• For higher-value items, you earn a premium share of 70% on the portion of the sale price that exceeds €50.
• For each item, we charge a listing fee of €1.20
